Deva Centre

The Deva Centre, Manchester

Being located beyond the old railway bridges, winding their way around the centre of Manchester, Costains commissioned S R Cladding to provide covering over the tanking against the inevitable flow of water through the brick arches.

This image shows the technique and materials used. The treated wooden timber studding with the cladding attached over it covers the lining that gathers the water and directs it to the gutters at the base of the arch.
